Bergdorf Goodman has officially launched its much-anticipated holiday initiative for 2024, aptly named “Toast of the Town.” This year’s theme pays a glamorous tribute to New York City, the luxury retailer’s home for over a century. From the iconic Fifth Avenue windows to a 360-degree marketing campaign, every aspect of this initiative is designed to surprise and delight.
Window Displays Celebrate NYC
The holiday windows, a New York City institution, were unveiled on November 21, 2024. This year, they celebrate Fifth Avenue’s 200th anniversary with nine intricately designed windows. From the lush greens of Marcus Garvey Park to the iconic yellow taxicab, each window showcases a unique aspect of the city’s vibrant culture. The famous lions of the New York Public Library bathed in red and the lavender-hued depiction of Bergdorf Goodman’s own fashion offerings are particularly eye-catching.
Star-Studded Film Campaign
Launching on November 24, the “Toast of the Town” film campaign captures the essence of New York’s energy and style. Starring Natasha Lyonne as a cab driver, the film features fashion icons like Christopher John Rogers and Wes Gordon. The narrative unfolds as these stylish individuals head to none other than Bergdorf Goodman, the ultimate fashion destination.
Creative Collaborations
To bring the holiday spirit to life, Bergdorf Goodman partnered with renowned illustrator Carly Kuhn. Her evocative drawings will appear across various platforms, including social media and shopping bags. The retailer also introduced “Fashionable Lives,” personas like the Uptown Hostess and Downtown It Girl, to guide customers through curated luxury gift guides.
Exclusive Experiences and Products
Throughout the season, Bergdorf Goodman will host an array of exclusive events and experiences. From personal appearances by top designers to in-store musical entertainment and the beloved Breakfast with Santa series, there’s something for everyone. Special pop-up tasting experiences and same-day deliveries via a customized BG-lavender taxi cab add to the festive fun.
Giving Back
The Bergdorf Goodness Foundation Fund continues its mission to support underserved communities in NYC. This season, the beneficiary is Culture for One, an organization enriching the lives of children in foster care through the arts. Customers can donate to this cause both in-store and online.
